Yamaha RD250 | RD350 | RD400 Points Conversion Vape Ignition Li-Ion

VAPE ignition. Solid state ignition system for Yamaha 250, 350, and 400cc air cooled twin to replace points systems only. Also fits liquid cooled TZ250 model. These models use a bolt to secure the rotor (see photos) to the crankshaft. this kit differs from the other of the same root number as it includes a regulator for Li-Ion battery charging.

Kit includes everything shown in the picture. Magnet based generator with integrated ignition. Output at 12V/150W DC. Solid state ignition with own power supply from within the system. Replaces stock alternator, regulator and ignition coils. No changes on engine casing needed. The system is technically capable of running without battery.

*ignition cover may not fit on some RD400 models. The webbing on the inside of the cover can be milled down
